About
About this archive
TNEstudy.org is the research and archive face of TNEstudy — a structured, source-cited repository of facts about transnational education. It exists to serve researchers writing papers, journalists covering cross-border higher education, policy analysts reviewing regulatory frameworks, and due-diligence professionals evaluating TNE partnerships.
The archive is organised into five collections:
- Exit & Failure Case Studies · Reconstructions of branch campus closures, partnership dissolutions and programme withdrawals. This is the scarcest content category in English-language TNE resources and the archive's highest-priority research area.
- Regulatory Archives · Full-text entries for the statutes, regulations and instruments governing TNE, with version timelines and amendment histories.
- Quality Assurance Reviews · Aggregated findings from quality audits by QAA, TEQSA, MQA and CPE, restated in a uniform format.
- Data Reports · Long-form analytical pieces on branch campus counts, country flows, opening and closure events, and scale changes.
- Forms & Terminology Dictionary · A standard reference for TNE delivery forms, regulatory terms and institutional classifications.
Editorial principles
Every factual claim in this archive carries a source and a retrieval date. Where a datum could not be confirmed from an official source, this is stated explicitly — the archive does not fill gaps with estimates. Judgement and fact are visually separated throughout: the archive reports what the record says, and when it offers interpretation, that interpretation is clearly marked as such.
This site carries no enrolment forms, no lead-capture mechanisms, no floating widgets and no commercial calls to action. It is structured as a research resource, not a marketing channel. Its value lies entirely in being cited by third parties — academic papers, media reports, policy briefs and due-diligence assessments.
Who maintains this
The archive is maintained by UNILINK Education Pty Ltd (ABN 50 152 187 650), an Australian education services company. UNILINK also operates tnestudy.com, the institutional services face of TNEstudy, which provides jurisdiction-wide entry-route briefings and a cross-jurisdiction programme registry for institutions considering or managing TNE operations.
UNILINK's registration details: MARN 1687552 (Migration Agents Registration Authority) · QEAC G167 (Qualified Education Agent Counsellor) · British Council registered agent Member 122466.
China-registered entity: Youling Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (优领教育科技(北京)有限公司, USCC 91110105MA008P2L3C), business scope covers self-funded study-abroad intermediary services.
The two sites share a common programme data layer — the source of truth is a single dataset maintained in the site-builds/campus-org-cn/src/data/projects.jsonl file. No second entity store is maintained for this site.
